A CULINARY WEEK

A culinary week with local chef and sommelier, Arie Teerink and our own fabulous food creatives, Jeni Glasgow and Harriet Davidson.

A week rich on all things food; from food writing to the art of the table, from local vineyards, producers and markets, to pastis and panisse on the terrace. A week of living fully, on the connection that food enables and on the joy it brings.

A group of 10 people will gather at La Gonette over the first week of September, including a rather fabulous special guest, Ruth Reichl. Ruth is a widely brilliant food writer, chef and editor. Thrilling.

READERS RETREAT WITH READINGS AUSTRALIA

We are delighted to announce the Readings inaugural Readers Retreat, to be held here for a week of deep reading, stimulating workshops, fascinating conversations, fine food and wine, and immersion in the French countryside. True to the ethos of La Gonette, we will be reading and talking in search of discoveries, surprises, beauty and joy. We are so excited to be collaborating with Readings independent bookstores.

A RESIDENCY MONTH

Much of what we do, and what we want to build on, is fuelled by a desire to support artists and writers whilst encouraging connection. Creating can sometimes be a lonely experience, and carving out time away from the demands of our everyday lives is often incredibly difficult. We’re opening our doors to artists and writers for two or four week residencies of uninterrupted, self directed work in a dynamic working environment. To spend the days of this autumnal month working away on your project, then to wander down to sit fireside with fellow writers or artists for dinner and conversation.
